Connect
- 1Go to Settings → Integrations and choose Connect Salesforce. Any owner or admin can do this once for the whole workspace.
- 2Sign in to Salesforce with an account that has API access and approve the access. A System Administrator is best: Veew can then add its four "Veew" fields to Opportunity for you. Veew reads opportunities, accounts and contacts; it never edits your Amount, Stage or contacts.
- 3You land back in Veew with Salesforce showing as connected and account and opportunity fields mapped by default. Adjust the mapping under Settings → Fields, where every standard and custom field on Opportunity, Account and Contact can be picked.
Import an opportunity
Importing copies the opportunity's details into Veew so a document can be written from them. Your Salesforce record is the source; the imported copy is what the document reads.
- 1From Deals, choose Import from Salesforce and search by opportunity or account name.
- 2Pick it. The account, the primary contact (when a contact field is mapped), amount and mapped fields come across.
- 3Later, use the deal's Refresh action to pull the latest mapped fields again. Your local edits are kept.
What goes back to Salesforce
When a proposal is sent or accepted, Veew logs a completed task on the opportunity, so it shows in the activity timeline. Four custom fields on the opportunity (the latest Veew document, its status, when it was last viewed, and total views) are kept current as buyers read.
If the person who connected can't customise objects, the task is still logged and Settings → Integrations lists the four fields for a Salesforce admin to add under Setup → Object Manager → Opportunity → Fields. Veew picks them up on the next send.
